Legendary musician Lady Jay Dee has been summoned by BASATA (Baraza La Sanaa Tanzania), Tangalebs.com has learnt.

According to information from BASATA, the musician was summoned over her recently released song One Time.

BASATA communication officer Godfrey Nago said the institution had already sent the singer a letter, summoning her to its offices to talk about the release of her song said to be promoting marijuana smoking.

It is not yet clear if the songstress honoured the summon or not but as it is with nearly everything under the sun, only time will tell.

The summon comes barely a week after BASATA confirmed it had received complaints from members of the public over Jay Dee’s song One Time.

Tangalebs.com had earlier on reported about how BASATA had launched investigation on the issues and its promise to take action.

Jay Dee found herself on the wrong side after many people condemned her for using lyrics that promote bhang smoking in her song.
This came just weeks after the singer released her song One Time on September 14.

It should be noted Jay Dee used the words ‘’Tusmoke weed one time’’, which evoked mixed reactions from different quotas.

Some people defended the crooner claiming she just enjoyed a moment of poetic justice, but others condemned her holding she is old and beaten and can no longer come up with great lines.
