Diamond Platnumz is the new YouTube king of Africa. Thanks to his new hit song featuring Lingala maestro Koffi Olomide, Diamond becomes the first African artist to break over 2 million YouTube views over a 24-hour period, beating the likes of Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy.

The boy from Tandale is simply unstoppable. Yesterday (November 30) he dropped his hot new collaboration with Lingala legend Koffi Olomide. And it didn't take long for the song to break all records.

The Bongo superstar dropped the song dubbed ‘WAAH’ on Monday evening, and it quickly gained YouTube views from fans who just can't get enough of the tune. In just 8 hours, the song had already smashed well over 1 million views. A  new YouTube record.

So far, at the time of publishing, the song has 2.6 million views on YouTube.

Diamond could not hold back his joy at the song going viral. He took to Instagram to celebrate the news. "1.6 Million Youtube viewers within 11hours now, more Blessings."

Diamond is now the first African artiste to break over 2 million YouTube views in less than 24 hours.

The colourful and trendy WAAH music video was directed by Director Kenny of Zoom Extra, a production company co-owned by Diamond and Kenny himself. It is produced by long-time Wasafi Records producer, the versatile Lizer.
