Diamond Shuts Down Kahama With 'WAAH!' Live Performance

Diamond Platnumz aka Chibu Dangote brought down the house with an epic performance of his new hit single ‘WAAH!’ featuring Lingala superstar Koffi Olomide. The show was the Burudani na Waliowasha Redio Festival in Kahama. And it was lit!

The Bongo flava superstar dropped the song ‘WAAH’ on Monday evening, but his fans got to hear it for the first time before the whole world at the weekend concert which featured other Wasafi Records stars like Rayvanny.

Fans from Tanzania to Kenya to Hong Kong love Waah! which has set a new African YouTube record for the most views of any continental musician in a span of 24 hours. So far, the song has 5.2 million views on YouTube.

Diamond's new song features the Congolese Koffi Olomide, but he didn't need the Lingala legend to turn the Kahama crowd wild with the new hit song. There must have been thousands at the venue to witness the song's first ever live performance.

Mama Dangote, Diamond's mum shared her pride in her son while posting a video of the performance. "Usiku wa jana Kahama ulikuwa wa Kipekee kwa @diamondplatnumz baada ya Kuandika Historia ya mmoja wa Wasanii waliowasha Burudani na Waliowasha Redio."


Elsewhere, in a promo interview with Diamond's Wasafi Radio, Koffi Olomide had huge praises for the Wasafi boss. He said that he is Africa's biggest star. 

"I will speak about him everywhere. He is an example."
"Kwa mara ya kwanza na kwa upande wangu msanii maarufu saizi na sehemu yeyote anajulikana."

Asked whether he has any other collaboration coming up, Koffi teased an upcoming song with Nandy.
